Shrimp Tomato Stew

You’ll Need

  • 2 pounds shrimp, peeled and cleaned
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons butter or olive oil
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 4 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • ¼ cup dry white wine
  • 8 ounces tomato sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  • Sauté onion and carrots until light brown.
  • Add the shrimp and stir over low heat until slightly cooked.
  • Add flour and continue stirring.
  • Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, white wine, salt and pepper and cook for approximately 30 minutes (or until done) on low heat.
  • Serve on rice.
