Moroccan Chick Peas

You’ll Need

  • 1, 15 ounce can garbanzo beans (or approximately 1 3/4 cups prepared from dried state)
  •  2 Tablespoons olive oil or other oil of choice
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

 

Directions

  • In a small on low-medium heat, heat olive oil add, chili powder and cumin for a minute to release flavor.
  • Add in all other ingredients and heat through.
  • Serve over rice, couscous, with pita or simply by itself.

 

Play with Your Food

  • Saute a bit of chopped onion with the spices.
  • Top with some fresh cilantro.
  • Top with some fresh diced tomato.
