  1. January’s not just a month, it’s a launching pad for our annual quixotic resolutions to get our physical selves back on track after the month-long party palooza of December. Drop weight, get fit, and well just be a better person, would ya?
  2. But January is also mental health awareness month. In other words, as we review Instagram reels for kale-packed smoothies and interpretive dance classes, we also need equal portions of mindfulness in the mix.

And we need them both, don’t we?

You may want to log those steps on that treadmill, but also consider perfecting your cozy “Zen Den” where tranquility reigns supreme. You and zillions of others will likely start that new body-weight exercise routine, but this will be so much more effective by actually slowing down to open a space for your mental wellbeing.

The best part of this January blend of two things is that it encourages us to not only work on our physical selves but also to nurture our mental selves as well.

And we need them both, don’t we?

So here’s to the start of a healthy new year in 2024, for a healthier body and a clearer, calmer mind.
