A Holiday Challenge For You

Holiday fun with mom and daughter making cookiesThis challenge isn’t here to get you logging 10,000 steps every day, drinking (at least!) 8, 8 ounce glasses of water every day, or meditating like a yogi for an hour every day.

This holiday challenge won’t get anywhere near that granular.

For this holiday season, we at Mediterranean Wellness would like to challenge you find ways to focus on people not products — activities not stuff. This doesn’t mean to avoid the presents, but just make it secondary.

It’s great to get someone a new pair of running shoes, but it’s even better to go for a walk with them in the afternoon after you roll away from the holiday feast!

It’s great to get the kids the Operation game, a Thomas The Tank Engine set, or an Easy Bake Oven, but it’s so so much better to sit in the floor with them and actually play with them — without one eye on your watch, schedule, or bowl game.

So our challenge to you is exactly this … think about your situation, with your family, kids, friends, and visitors. Now think about the precious moments you can spend with them, what it will mean to them, and what it will mean to you over time.

You will NEVER remember Thomas, what happened to the Wishbone that got lost, or if you ever got around to making those lightbulb cookies, but you will never forget the connection you make with the people most important in your life.

I would love to hear what you have planned, as well as the fun and love you create with this challenge.

Happy Holidays everyone, with much love from Mediterranean Wellness
