Mindful Monday: Positive Reinforcements

Man successful, image inside his headIf a person naturally expresses positive behaviors like joy, gratitude, serenity, amusement, or hope, we know that their brain produces positive neurochemicals. We also know that they help reinforce those positive behaviors in the first place.

More importantly, even if a person does not naturally express positive emotions as much, they can still get the benefit of expressing positive emotions by simply making an effort.

In other words, by making a choice to express positive emotions (whenever you are able), you essentially train your brain to become more positive, on its own. This is a positive feedback loop that is totally a win for you in the long term.
