People eat for reasons that have nothing to do with hunger. One of the biggest drivers of over-consumption is the dreaded Clean Your Plate Problem.
Why do we eat just because food happens to be in front of us; because we see it; because we can reach out and put it in our mouths?
This is a psychological reflex. Unlike a physical reflex, which is hard-wired (think, knee-jerk), the psychological reflex can be increased or decreased.
We have a procedure to use chocolate to solve the Clean Your Plate problem by attacking it head on.
Tips:
- • It runs you. It owns you. The urgency in your brain makes you eat again. But it doesn’t have to.
- • Practice eating for the right reasons – because you are actually hungry – and that will become the reason you eat.
- • Be around food without having to have to have to eat it. You get better at this every time you practice this.
- • Eat until you’re satisfied, before you’re full, then stop. Fullness will soon catch up.
