Finding Flow

In positive psychology, the PERMA model is the standard. This model describes 5 aspects needed for a more positive psychology.

MedWell is breaking out each portion of this model, and creating a program for employees around them all — I can’t wait to show you guys this.

Right now, we’re on Engagement, also known as Flow.

A meter for engagement pegged on high

You know those times in your life when you are completely engaged, when you look up from what you’re doing and find that it’s been minutes or even hours since you started.

During this time you weren’t plagued by nagging thoughts, doubts, or doom scrolling through your to-do list for the next day or week or month. You are just in the zone.

That state of total engagement is what happens when you “lose your mind” in the best possible way. And achieving flow is a key marker for a more positive psychology.

But, for our employess, this is not only important for individuals achieving a more positive psychology, but also something they can achieve at work as well as home.
