Thank you, Ryan!<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><strong>You&#8217;ll Need:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup chicken broth<\/li>\n<li>1 cup tomato sauce<\/li>\n<li>6 slices bacon<\/li>\n<li>2 onions, diced<\/li>\n<li>1 cup uncooked white rice<\/li>\n<li>2 tomatoes, diced<\/li>\n<li>2 green bell peppers, diced<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 teaspoon chili powder<\/li>\n<li>Salt and pepper to taste<\/li>\n<li>1 (10 ounce) can sliced black olives, drained (optional)<\/li>\n<li>1 (10 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">\n<ul>\n<li>In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine chicken broth and tomato sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to a boil while cooking the following:<\/li>\n<li>In a large skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until evenly brown.<\/li>\n<li>Chop bacon, and set aside, reserving a small portion of the bacon fat.<\/li>\n<li>Add onion to skillet, and saute until tender.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in rice, and cook until lightly browned, 3 to 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Pour in boiling chicken broth and tomato sauce.<\/li>\n<li>Add diced tomatoes, green peppers, and chopped bacon.<\/li>\n<li>Season with chili powder, salt, and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Cover, and simmer for 30 to 40 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in black olives and corn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p>FOOTNOTE<br \/>\nIf you are going to double the recipe (I usually make a doubled recipe), use the same amount of bacon strips and oil, and keep to 1 can of olives and 1 can of corn, double all other ingredients.<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0Please share your recipes with us.
