For our fitness, this situation causes us to think about activity much differently than ever before.<\/p>\n<p>This new way of thinking requires us to be more independent about HOW and about WHEN we structure our routines for ourselves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HOW:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If we can no longer go to a gym with other people, we must find ways to be active in our own homes. This requires just a bit of creativity, an internet search for at-home exercises, or access to online video classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHEN:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>When living at home for an extended period, it becomes more important to set, and stick to, a self-imposed schedule.<\/p>\n<p>In the end, creating your own routine to be completed in your own time gives you more flexibility to stay active, even after the quarantine period has ended.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>During the pandemic, many of us spent more time at home sitting down.
