Find someone who you can talk to about how you are feeling. Really hear them out.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take Some Time For You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We all need a break sometimes. When your children are asleep, do something fun or relaxing for yourself. make a list of healthy activities that YOU like to do. You deserve it!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Listen Well<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Be open and listen to your children. They will look to you for support and reassurance. Listen to your kids when they share how they are feeling. Accept how they feel and give them comfort.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Take a Pause<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This 1-minute relaxation activity can be done whenever you feel stressed or worried.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Get ready<\/span>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Find a comfortable sitting position, your feet flat on the floor, your hands resting in your lap.<\/li>\n<li>Close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Tune in<\/span>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Ask yourself, &#8220;What am I thinking now?&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Notice your thoughts. Notice your thoughts. Notice if they are negative or positive.<\/li>\n<li>Notice how you feel emotionally. Notice if your feelings are happy or not.<\/li>\n<li>Notice how your body feels. Notice anything that hurts or is tense.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Focus on your breath during this meditation<\/span>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Listen to your breath as it goes in and out.<\/li>\n<li>You can put a hand on your stomach and feel it rise and fall with each breath.<\/li>\n<li>You may want to speak comforting words to yourself, such as &#8220;It&#8217;s okay&#8221; or something similar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Coming out of the meditation\u00a0<\/span>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Notice how your whole body feels.<\/li>\n<li>Listen to the sounds in the room.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Reflecting<\/span>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Think about how you feel at this point.<\/li>\n<li>When you are ready, open your eyes again.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>____________<\/p>\n<p>In these exceptional times, even though we all may find ourselves cooped up inside, everyone&#8217;s experience may be different. For some, you may be home alone and dealing with the sense of isolation that may bring.
