Sleep like a baby? You mean wake up every 3 hours and cry &#8230; like a baby?<\/p>\n<p>Actually the better title for this series would be &#8220;How To Sleep Like A 5-year-old whose been playing in the pool all day.&#8221; But no one says that, for some reason. So I&#8217;m just going with the commonly understood saying, that means to sleep soundly.<\/p>\n<p>All this month our coaching will be centered around sleeping well. Just keep in mind that &#8212; short of taking magic pills &#8212; there are no magic pills. Getting a good night&#8217;s sleep is probabilistic. You can increase your odds of getting through the night, but you can&#8217;t guarantee it.<\/p>\n<p>But what you can do is to get out of your own way. Stop doing things that prevent your sleeping well, and start doing things that encourage your body to make it all the way from head-down, to sun-up.<\/p>\n<p>So why the theme, &#8220;Sleep Like A Baby&#8221;? When looking at the research on sleep and the current recommendations for sleeping well, it turns out to be very similar to the advice we give parents for their kids!
