{"id":414,"date":"2008-08-26T12:00:00","date_gmt":"2008-08-26T12:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/2008\/08\/26\/remoulade-sauce-for-shrimp\/"},"modified":"2017-02-02T12:54:55","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T17:54:55","slug":"remoulade-sauce-for-shrimp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=414","title":{"rendered":"Remoulade Sauce for Shrimp"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>You&#8217;ll Nee:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Shrimp:<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>3 dozen (21-25 count) shrimp, peeled and deveined<\/div>\n<div>2 quarts cold water<\/div>\n<div>1\/4 cup lemon juice<\/div>\n<div>1 lemon, sliced<\/div>\n<div>1 onion, diced<\/div>\n<div>4 tablespoons salt<\/div>\n<div>1\/2 cup celery, diced<\/div>\n<div>2 tablespoons cracked black pepper<\/div>\n<div>3 bay leaves<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>Sauce:<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>1 1\/2 cups mayonnaise<\/div>\n<div>1\/2 cup Creole mustard (or substitute Dijon mustard)<\/div>\n<div>1\/4 cup parsley, minced<\/div>\n<div>1 tsp hot sauce<\/div>\n<div>1\/2 cup green onions, minced<\/div>\n<div>1\/4 cup celery, minced<\/div>\n<div>2 tablespoons garlic, minced<\/div>\n<div>1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce<\/div>\n<div>1\/2 tablespoon lemon juice<\/div>\n<div>salt and cracked black pepper to taste<\/div>\n<div>\nServes: 6\/2 Cups Sauce<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong>Directions:<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div><strong><br \/>\nTo Cook Shrimp:<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>In a 4-quart stock pot, over medium-high heat, add water and all seasoning ingredients.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Bring to a rolling boil, reduce to simmer and allow to cook 15 minutes for flavors to develop.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Bring mixture back to a rolling boil, add shrimp and stir approximately 3-5 minutes.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>At this point, shrimp should be pink and curled.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Test for doneness, being careful not to over-cook.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Once water returns to a boil, shrimp should be perfectly done.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Pour off boiling water and replace with cold tap water to stop the cooking process.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Drain and place shrimp in a serving bowl.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Cover with clear wrap and refrigerate.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Note: This step may be done the night before.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>\n<strong>To Prepare Sauce:<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Combine all sauce ingredients in a 2-quart mixing bowl and whisk well to incorporate the seasonings.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>Once blended, cover and place in the refrigerator, preferably overnight.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>A minimum of 4 hours will be required for flavor to develop.<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>When ready to serve, remove from refrigerator and adjust seasonings to taste.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>You&#8217;ll Nee: &nbsp; Shrimp: &nbsp; 3 dozen (21-25 count) shrimp, peeled and deveined 2 quarts cold water 1\/4 cup lemon juice 1 lemon, sliced 1 onion, diced 4 tablespoons salt &hellip; <\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":3,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":true,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":false,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","default_image_id":0,"font":"","enabled":false},"version":2}},"categories":[380],"tags":[10,32],"class_list":["post-414","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-recipes","tag-appetizer","tag-shrimp"],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"jetpack_featured_media_url":"","jetpack_sharing_enabled":true,"jetpack_shortlink":"https:\/\/wp.me\/p7Qv5g-6G","jetpack_likes_enabled":true,"jetpack-related-posts":[{"id":330,"url":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=330","url_meta":{"origin":414,"position":0},"title":"Amazing Shrimp Diablo Recipe","author":"Will Clower","date":"April 30, 2011","format":false,"excerpt":"This was an amazing recipe.
