This recipe is published in <i>The Fat Fallacy<\/i>.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; text-align: left; text-indent: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; text-align: left; text-indent: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><b>Sundried tomato\u00a0pasta\u00a0with vodka cream\u00a0sauce<\/b> <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; text-align: left; text-indent: 0in;\" align=\"left\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">I borrowed this pasta recipe from my dear friend Debbie, although she\u2019s won\u2019t tell me how to make her incredible, and now famous, chocolate chip cookie recipe. Don\u2019t worry, I\u2019ll wear her down.<\/span><\/div>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">This is one of those recipes that sets a new standard for delicious. Although it\u2019s simple to throw together, it really ups the ante on flavor. But remember to eat it slowly. You\u2019ll want this one to last a long time. By the way, this makes a bunch. But the good part is that it\u2019s just as good reheated. Stir in a touch of milk\u00a0and warm it up when you are having leftovers.<\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">The broccoli\u00a0adds a wonderful touch of greenery to the pasta and is super simple to make.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">You\u2019ll need:<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">2\/3 cup vodka<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 real good pinch of crushed red pepper or cayenne<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">6 tbsp butter<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 small box of penne pasta<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 cup tomatoes, blenderized<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 jar sundried tomatoes\u00a0in oil <\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 good handful mushrooms, sliced<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 cup whipping cream<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">1 cup fresh Parmesan<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><b>Sundried tomato\u00a0pasta\u00a0in 4 easy steps.<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-left: .25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .25in; text-indent: -.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">Begin the water boiling for the pasta. Don\u2019t forget to cook the pasta with some salt and olive oil.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-left: .25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .25in; text-indent: -.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font: normal normal normal 7pt\/normal 'Times New Roman';\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 32px;\">Stir the amount of red pepper you choose (depending on your spice tolerance) into the vodka and butter.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Melt the butter into the vodka-pepper mixture\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">over a medium flame<\/span><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">, and then bring it up to a simmer. Add the blenderized tomatoes\u00a0and cream. Return to boil, lower heat, and let it work the flavors into each other at a simmer for 10 minutes.<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-left: .25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .25in; text-indent: -.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">Meanwhile, chop the sundried tomatoes\u00a0into small pieces. Saut\u00e9 the mushrooms with the tomatoes in their own oil. Add to the sauce.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 200%; margin-left: .25in; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; tab-stops: list .25in; text-indent: -.25in;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;\">When the pasta is done, add it to the whole batch, and mix in the Parmesan cheese.
