Give this chicken salad a try.\u00a0<\/em><\/div>\n<p><b>You\u2019ll Need<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 teaspoons grated fresh ginger<\/li>\n<li>2 teaspoons finely chopped garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine) or sweet sherry<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil<\/li>\n<li>1 skinless, boneless chicken breast half<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 red or yellow bell pepper, cut into thin strips<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 &#8211; 2 cups mixed greens torn into pieces<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon vegetable oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><b>First<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Place ginger and garlic in a 1-quart re-sealable plastic bag.<\/li>\n<li>Measure the mirin, soy sauce and sesame oil into the bag.<\/li>\n<li>Massage the bag lightly to mix the ingredients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Then<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using a meat pounder or a small heavy saucepan, flatten the chicken filet to an even thickness.<\/li>\n<li>Put the chicken inside of the bag and seal it, forcing out the air.<\/li>\n<li>Turn the bag several times to coat the filet and marinate at least a 1\/2 hour or in the refrigerator for up to 8 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Ten Minutes Before Eating<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scatter the salad greens on a dinner plate.<\/li>\n<li>Heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat in a skillet or ridged grill pan.<\/li>\n<li>Cook the pepper strips, turning occasionally, until softened and slightly charred; set aside.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>For the Chicken<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brown the chicken filet on both sides, reduce heat to medium and cook until the center is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Transfer the filet to a clean cutting board and let rest for several minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add 1\/2 cup water to the pan and cook a minute or two longer, stirring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Finally<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Slice the chicken on an angle into strips and place in the center of the greens.<\/li>\n<li>Drizzle the pan juices on the meat and scatter the pepper strips on top.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/willclower\" data-show-count=\"false\" data-size=\"large\">Follow @willclower<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For more information:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.willclower.com\/\">Click here to visit Will Clower&#8217;s website.<\/a><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"border-radius: 2px; text-indent: 20px; width: auto; padding: 0px 4px 0px 0px; text-align: center; font: bold 11px\/20px 'Helvetica Neue',Helvetica,sans-serif; color: #ffffff; background: #bd081c no-repeat scroll 3px 50% \/ 14px 14px; position: absolute; opacity: 1; z-index: 8675309; display: none; cursor: pointer;\">Save<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0A great way to prevent cancer is to know what you are eating.
