{"id":321,"date":"2011-09-18T17:46:00","date_gmt":"2011-09-18T17:46:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/2011\/09\/18\/buttermilk-corn-bread\/"},"modified":"2017-02-02T11:43:33","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T16:43:33","slug":"buttermilk-corn-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=321","title":{"rendered":"Buttermilk Corn Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><strong>You\u2019ll Need<\/strong><br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups corn meal<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">1\/2 all purpose flour<br \/>\n2 teaspoons baking powder<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">1 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n1 egg<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">1 1\/3 cups buttermilk<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">2 Tablespoons olive oil, separated<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Preheat the oven to 450. Place 1 Tablespoon of the olive oil into an 8-10 inch iron skillet.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Stir together the dry ingredients in a medium bowl. Now add the egg, buttermilk, and remaining tablespoon of oil. Then stir completely, making sure there are no little dry clumps in the .<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Set the iron skillet onto the stove over a medium-high flame until the oil gets hot (it will appear &#8220;wavy&#8221;). At this point, pour the cornbread mixture into the skillet. Make sure it spreads evenly across the bottom of the pan, and let it sizzle for 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Take it off the stove and place in the oven for approximately 20 minutes. Check the cornbread.
