{"id":313,"date":"2011-12-15T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-12-15T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/2011\/12\/15\/irish-potato-bread\/"},"modified":"2017-02-02T11:40:35","modified_gmt":"2017-02-02T16:40:35","slug":"irish-potato-bread","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=313","title":{"rendered":"Irish Potato Bread"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<p><b>You&#8217;ll Need<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/4 cup warm water<\/li>\n<li>3 tsp.yeast<\/li>\n<li>1 1\/2 cups milk<\/li>\n<li>3 T butter<\/li>\n<li>1 cup mashed potatoes at room temperature<\/li>\n<li>4 T sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp. salt<\/li>\n<li>6 cups flour<\/li>\n<li>1 egg (for glaze)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><b>Directions<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">If You Have A Food Processor pour warm water into the bowl. (The water should be about 85 to 115\u00b0 F. Test it with your hand. It should feel very warm, but comfortable. )<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Sprinkle the yeast over the water and mix at low speed.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Let stand for five minutes.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Slowly mix in milk, potatoes, salt and sugar.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Gradually mix in flour.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">Mix on high for about a minute or two.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">The dough should turn into a ball and roll around the processor.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">If the dough does not ball up because it&#8217;s to dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until it does.<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">If your mixture is more like a batter, add flour one tablespoon at a time. (Adding water or flour as needed to get the right consistency will assure you always get a perfect dough.
