Get creative and change up the spices and herbs as you see fit.<\/i><\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">You\u2019ll need<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\">\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00a01 egg<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">1 teaspoon mustard<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">1 Tablespoon, freshly squeezed lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">6 Tablespoons olive oil, divided (4 Tablespoons and 2 Tablespoons)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00bd teaspoon salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">\u00bd teaspoons freshly ground black pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">1\/2 cup bread crumbs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">1 pound lump crabmeat<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">1 pinch of cayenne pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">4 Tablespoons butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Parsley as a garnish<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Serve with either lemon wedges or tarter sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><b><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Directions<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Using an electric blender or wire whisk, beat together mustard, lemon juice and egg until thoroughly combined.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">While beating vigorously, gradually pour 4 Tablespoons of olive oil into the egg mixture in a thin stream.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">When smooth and creamy, stir in salt and pepper.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Gently fold in crabmeat, then bread crumbs and cayenne pepper.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Shape into 8 patties, each about a half-inch thick.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Helvetica Neue, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">They will want to fall apart, but that&#8217;s the idea of a good crab cake.
