What\u2019s should we be leaving for him on his passage across the globe? What are the healthiest choices we could make for him?<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<div>(please note the dietary restrictions \u2026 NO reindeer burgers).<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. May improve Santa&#8217;s cholesterol levels \u2013 in case anyone is worried about his LDL counts.<\/div>\n<div>Raw ginger is thermogenic \u2013 increasing metabolic activity for those long evening flybys over Chicago. And dried ginger has been given in traditional medicine to alleviate colds, coughs, inflammations, headaches and even flatulence (so be sure to give some to the upwind reindeer!!).<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Not bad, eh?<\/div>\n<div>Vitamin D \u2026 Santa is sun deprived up there in the North Pole, so be sure to give him a small glass of milk. Make your own cookies for him, because they have egg yolks that contain even more Vitamin D.<br \/>Or combine the Vitamin D and chocolate with a mug of steaming cocoa \u2013 it\u2019s the cocoa itself that makes the chocolate good for you (and Santa).<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.
