{"id":253,"date":"2015-02-06T20:28:00","date_gmt":"2015-02-06T20:28:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/2015\/02\/06\/saffron-butter-sauce\/"},"modified":"2017-01-24T12:38:16","modified_gmt":"2017-01-24T17:38:16","slug":"saffron-butter-sauce","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=253","title":{"rendered":"Saffron Butter Sauce"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em; text-align: center;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><b><br \/>\n<\/b><i>This is a wonderful sauce to complement both pastas and seafood.<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Yields Approximately 1 cup<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><b>You\u2019ll Need<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bc teaspoon saffron threads, crumbled<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons shallot, minced<\/li>\n<li>2 Tablespoons white wine vinegar<\/li>\n<li>3 Tablespoons heavy cream<\/li>\n<li>14 Tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cut into 14 pieces<\/li>\n<li>Salt and Pepper<br \/>\n<b><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"margin: 0px;\"><b>Directions<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>In a small heavy saucepan, combine the saffron, shallot, vinegar, and wine.<\/li>\n<li>Simmer the mixture until it is reduced to about 2 Tablespoons.<\/li>\n<li>Stir in the cream and simmer the mixture, whisking occasionally, until the liquid is reduced to 2 Tablespoons.<\/li>\n<li>Season the mixture with salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce heat to low, and whisk in the butter, 1 piece at a time, but overlapping slightly to keep the sauce from getting too hot.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat, from time to time, as the butter is whisked in.<\/li>\n<li>Remove from heat and season to taste with salt and pepper.<\/li>\n<li>Use with pasta and\/or sea foods.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/willclowerblog.blogspot.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px currentColor;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/WillClowerOnTheCultureOfHealth.1-3.gif?w=735&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Will Clower Articles\" \/><\/a> <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 0px currentColor;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/WillClowerAudicles.1-1.gif?w=735&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Will Clower Audicles\" \/><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is a wonderful sauce to complement both pastas and seafood.
