Try this easy and tasty way to prepare them.<\/i><br \/>\n<strong><i><br \/>\n<\/i><\/strong><strong>You\u2019ll Need<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 pounds collard greens, trimmed, washed and cut into 1 inch slices<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup sliced fresh garlic<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup vegetable oil<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon salt<\/li>\n<li>Black pepper to taste<\/li>\n<li>Tabasco sauce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Directions<br \/>\n<\/strong>In a large pot, boil the collards until very tender.<br \/>\nDrain cooked greens thoroughly in a large strainer or colander.<br \/>\nHeat the oil in a skillet or the pot that was used to cook the collards.<br \/>\nAdd the garlic and cook, stirring constantly, until garlic is nicely browned and crisped.<br \/>\nAdd drained collards, season with salt and pepper, and a few dashes of Tabasco.<br \/>\nMix together thoroughly.<br \/>\nThis dish goes nicely with black-eyed peas, rice and cornbread.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Collards the are sooooo delicious and nutritious.
