Throw a mussel dinner party! They are so easy to make and create a very elegant meal. Enjoy this meal with a nice piece of crusty baguette and a glass of white wine.<\/em><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><b>You&#8217;ll Need<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>2 pounds fresh or frozen mussels (let the frozen mussels thaw a bit it is ok if they are not thawed the entire amount)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>5 cloves garlic, minced<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>2 Tablespoons, butter<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>2 medium tomatoes, diced (can also use diced canned tomatoes)<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\u00bd cup dry white wine<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>\u00bc cup heavy cream<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>4 Tablespoons parsley, chopped<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>1 lemon<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Salt and pepper to taste<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><b><\/b><\/div>\n<div><b>Directions<\/b><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div>Find a pot large enough for the mussels to fit in and to be able to stir them.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>On medium heat, melt the butter in the pot.<b><\/b><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Add the garlic and mussels and toss until well coated.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Add wine, tomatoes, cream, salt and pepper<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Raise heat to medium-high and cover and cook until mussels are done. For fresh mussels they are done when the shells have opened. For frozen mussels make sure they are completely thawed and heated through.
