They wanted to list radiofrequency energy as &#8220;possibly carcinogenic&#8221;.&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Everyone freaked.&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Now, a flurry of studies have been done and completed to show no linkage at all between them. Not even a little bit.&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Just look at data from the study posted today! Researchers looked at&nbsp;<span style=\"line-height: 22px;\">more than 2.8 million adults &#8212; 2.8 million!! &#8212; and found that those who&#8217;d used a cellphone for 11 to 15 years were no more likely than newer users or non-users to develop an acoustic neuroma (they kind of brain cancer they are most worried about).<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 22px;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 22px;\">Does this mean that there couldn&#8217;t be some long term, slowly growing, sneaky stealth tumor that could be formed when people use the cell phone chronically for periods longer that 11 &#8211; 15 years? Nope. Research studies have not shown a consistent link between cell phone use and cancer. A large international study (Interphone) published in 2010 found that, overall, cell phone users are at lower risk for two of the most common types of&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.gov\/Common\/PopUps\/popDefinition.aspx?id=CDR0000387264&amp;version=Patient&amp;language=English\" style=\"color: #4d4d4d; text-decoration: underline;\">brain tumor<\/a>\u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.gov\/Common\/PopUps\/popDefinition.aspx?id=CDR0000045700&amp;version=Patient&amp;language=English\" style=\"color: #4d4d4d; text-decoration: underline;\">glioma<\/a>&nbsp;and<a href=\"http:\/\/www.cancer.gov\/Common\/PopUps\/popDefinition.aspx?id=CDR0000045783&amp;version=Patient&amp;language=English\" style=\"color: #4d4d4d; text-decoration: underline;\">meningioma<\/a>\u2015compared to non-users.
