Even high profile o<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 18px;\">rganizations (such as the Physicians Committee For Responsible Medicine) aggressively market this way of thinking that turns out to be very anti-dairy. &nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 13.5pt;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"line-height: 13.5pt;\">Fair enough, and groups like this are certainly entitled to push their perspective, but there&#8217;s far more going on and,&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 18px;\">for our kids&#8217; health,<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 18px;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">we need BOTH sides of the story to truly get a clear picture. &nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">The first and most pedestrian reason to avoid dairy would be due to milk allergies. But 97.5% of all children under 3 years old do NOT have an allergy to milk (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodallergy.org\/allergens\/milk-allergy\" target=\"_blank\">source here<\/a>), and most of the remaining 2.5% outgrow as they grow. If you happen to have a child with a dairy allergy, don&#8217;t give them dairy.&nbsp;<\/span><br \/><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/mlcmmqmgggev.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/dairy2Bdangers.png?ssl=1\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img data-opt-id=447627822  fetchpriority=\"high\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"https:\/\/mlcmmqmgggev.i.optimole.com\/w:auto\/h:auto\/q:mauto\/f:best\/https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/dairy2Bdangers.png?resize=320%2C217&#038;ssl=1\" height=\"217\" width=\"320\" \/><\/a><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">But the biggest reason cited to eliminate dairy for our kids comes down to the claim that it causes systemic inflammation in the body.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.mindbodygreen.com\/0-8646\/the-dangers-of-dairy.html\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: red;\">In this article<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;&#8220;The Dangers of Dairy&#8221;, we read that&nbsp;<i><span style=\"background-color: white; color: #333333; line-height: 25px;\">Dairy is one of the most inflammatory foods in our modern diet, second only to gluten.<\/span><\/i><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">&nbsp;How could they possibly make such a strong assertion &#8212; that your yogurt is THE MOST inflammatory food behind gluten &#8212; unless there were definitive evidence?&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt; margin-bottom: .0001pt; margin: 0in;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\"><b>Does Dairy Cause Inflammation?<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<div style=\"background: white; margin: 4.5pt 0in;\">\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">If this were true, the consumption of any form of dairy would lead to a closet full of health problems: cardiovascular disease, asthma, allergies, arthritis, auto-immune disorders, cancer, and others. Anyone who eats any dairy would suffer from all of these ailments. &nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\">Reading claims like this is very frustrating, and feels like someone who is simply echoing what everyone happens to be saying right now. So I took the time to look up some actual studies that investigated the claims.&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"line-height: 13.5pt;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: small;\"><u>Here are some highlights:&nbsp;<\/u><\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">1.<span style=\"color: red;\">&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23446894\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: red;\">In a systematic&nbsp;<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23446894\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: red;\">review<\/span><\/a> of randomized controlled nutritional intervention studies, they found that c<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">irculating inflammatory and atherogenic biomarkers are NOT increased following meals of<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">dairy<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">foods.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"line-height: 18px;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial;\">2. \u201cDairy<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\"><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><span style=\"background-attachment: initial; background-clip: initial; background-image: initial; background-origin: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-size: initial;\">product consumption <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/23446894\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: red;\">does not exert adverse effects <\/span><\/a>on biomarkers of<span>&nbsp;<\/span><span>inflammation<\/span><span>&nbsp;<\/span>in overweight or obese adults.\u201d<span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><br \/><span style=\"line-height: 18px;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">3. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/21811291\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: red;\">Study<\/span><\/a>: Dairy<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">Product Consumption Has No Impact on Biomarkers of<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">Inflammation<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">among Men and Women with Low-Grade Systemic<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">Inflammation<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 13.5pt;\">.
