{"id":1873,"date":"2015-07-23T11:17:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-23T11:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.willclower.com\/blog\/2015\/07\/snails-need-cocoa-too.html"},"modified":"2016-09-19T11:06:04","modified_gmt":"2016-09-19T15:06:04","slug":"snails-need-cocoa-too","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=1873","title":{"rendered":"Snails need Cocoa too."},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\">If you&#8217;re a snail &#8230; just sayin &#8230; IF you were a snail slithering through your life in the pond, and wanted to exercise your brain cell, you might want to have a little dark chocolate and red wine to complement your algae salad. <\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/25267853\">study<\/a> showed that snails are better at forming long term memories when they have the epicatechins found in cocoa, red wine, and green tea.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">And they&#8217;re even better at it when snail stressors are around (what is it that stresses out a snail? Having a Bad Shell Day? Pond scum?
