Pick a part of your morning routine (waiting for the coffee to brew, prior to your shower, etc.) and commit to that the time when you\u2019ve \u201cgot your back\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">There are other stretches of course, but this one is the key. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">To perform this forward fold hamstring and lower back stretch:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol class=\"list-decimal marker:font-mono marker:text-sm pl-11\">\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, knees slightly bent.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Keeping your legs straight but not locked, hinge forward at the hips while allowing your torso to fold over towards the floor. Fold your arms together and let their weight gently pull towards the ground.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Go only as far as feels comfortable.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Allow the weight of your upper body to gently pull and lengthen the hamstrings and lower back muscles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds, breathing deeply.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">To release, engage your core and slowly roll back up to standing by straightening the hips first, then the spine.<button class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><\/button><button class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><\/button><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">This stretch uses gravity to create traction on the hamstrings and lower back muscles, helping to increase flexibility and range of motion. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Repeat this routine 5 times, and then for the most important part of this stretch &#8212; be consistent!
