You&#8217;re going to want this on your savory meats, like pork or lamb, as the &#8220;J&#8221; to your &#8220;PB&amp;&#8221;, and on your morning yogurt\/granola combo!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">It&#8217;s got a delicious blend of flavors from the plums, spices, and citrus notes, making it a perfect go-with to so so many dishes!<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>You\u2019ll Need:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">2-2.5 lbs plums<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">4 shallots<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">3 fresh bay leaves<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1 cinnamon stick<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">5 cloves<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1\/2 teaspoon ground allspice<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1\/2 teaspoon ground ginger<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">400 g brown sugar<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">1 orange<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">3\/4 cup, cider vinegar<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>What You Do:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Drizzle vegetable oil in a large pan over low heat. Peel and slice the shallots, then cook until softened and golden brown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Remove the seed from the plums, then give them a rough chop. Add bay leaves and spices to the pan, heat for 1 minute, then stir in the plums.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Next, add the sugar and finely grate orange zest. Squeeze the orange juice into the pan with the cider vinegar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer slowly until most of the water has evaporated, and the chutney is reduced and thick, stirring occasionally.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Spoon the chutney into sterilized jars and seal immediately.
