This recipe is easy to make and is super flavorful!<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<div><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">You\u2019ll Need<\/span><\/strong><\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">1 pound collard greens<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">2 cups vegetable stock<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">\u00bd teaspoon dried basil<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">2 teaspoons olive oil<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">\u00be cup onion, chopped<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">1 Tablespoon ginger root, grated<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">1 teaspoon jalapeno pepper, chopped<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">1\/4 teaspoon sesame oil<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Pepper to taste<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<div style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">1 teaspoon sesame seeds<\/span><\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Directions <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Rinse greens well in tepid water and slice into thin strips.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Place in a saucepan with the stock and basil, cover and cook about 30 minutes, until greens are tender. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Heat olive oil in a skillet and saute onion and garlic; stir in ginger root and jalapeno pepper. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Add to collard greens and stir until liquid is nearly evaporated. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Add sesame oil and pepper to taste; stir. <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">Sprinkle with sesame seeds.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'verdana' , sans-serif;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Collards are a super food, and\u00a0are a great source of vitamins A, and C, calcium and cholesterol.
