{"id":10545,"date":"2021-12-07T12:01:40","date_gmt":"2021-12-07T17:01:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=10545"},"modified":"2022-12-04T22:51:33","modified_gmt":"2022-12-05T03:51:33","slug":"your-equation-for-better-brain-power","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=10545","title":{"rendered":"Your Equation For Better Brain Power?  < = >"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p>How many times have you seen internet pop-up ads telling you the &#8220;brain games&#8221; you need to spend your time doing, to boost your brain power?\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>You get the feeling that if you just did more, you could improve your cognitive functions. But this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedaily.com\/releases\/2011\/02\/110208131529.htm\">research <\/a>reveals that the equation for doing this is not to add X, Y number of times, and keep doing that until Z happens. The right equation is actually this:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>&lt; = &gt; &#8230; Less is more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>The data show that taking breaks throughout your workday can amplify your creative ability. A good way to think about it is that you should add &#8220;white space&#8221; to your day, with no assignments, or to-dos. This should be a time of not-doing.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n<p>As a mental pause in your day, White Space gives your brain a breather.
