If you want to copy and forward this article to get another opinion on the boards, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/?p=10033\">here you go<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It was all the rage wasn&#8217;t it?<\/p>\n<p>Back in the late 90s, all people could talk about was the low carb Atkins approach, and how it was a complete game-changer for diet. Although it certainly has stuck around, and you still do see it here and there, it was undermined by the same ambiguity that deflated the low fat theory.<\/p>\n<p>There are good carbs and bad carbs, just as there are good fats and bad fats.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-9828\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mymedwellness.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/Med-Diet-Foods.jpg?resize=300%2C225&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Mediterranean diet foods. This totally took the air out of that balloon, leading to the conclusion that you can have carbs like pasta (Italy), bread (France), or rice (Japan) and still be of a healthy weight. This is one reason the USDA has moved away from a molecular based strategy &#8212; like saying fats are bad, or carbs are bad &#8212; and moved toward a pattern-based approach, advocating the Mediterranean pattern of eating.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In your experience, what do you think?
